We shall depart from Kampala at 7:00 am or from Entebbe at 6:30 am and head eastwards out of Kampala for the days great Jinja adventure expedition. We kick off with a stop over at the Cultural village of Sezibwa with a morning hike around coupled with great views of the forest canopy and sugar cane plantations.
The Sezibwa is a 7 meters falls which flows between the lakes of Victoria and Kyoga wetlands west of the Victoria Nile in the districts of Buikwe, Kayunga and Mukono. We get a guided nature/hiking walk around here.
Check out, and continue to the Mabira forest for a great forest walk and birding tour. The forest covers over 300 square kilometres of land. Expect to spot many primates like the vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and over 300 bird’s species.
Check out and drive through the forest with great views of large sugar cane and tea plantations crossing the Owen fall’s dam with a Jinja city drive on the main street. Lunch at the Source Cafe restaurant with a variety of shops selling hand crafts for your souvenirs.
Drive to the source of the Nile, more craft shops around and have a boat ride to lake Victoria and view the source of the Nile River. Many birds around. Get back to the boat and head back to Kampala.
